Hey Anas! That’s pretty awesome! I used to love physical education (PE), it was definitely one of the best parts of my day, hopefully the kids you’re teaching like it as much as I did Do you teach the kids about anatomy and about nutrition, or do you focus mainly on just games and getting active?

How many years of education did it take to get your certificate? What is your favorite part about being a teacher?

That’s awesome, Anas! Good luck with your studies–phys-ed teachers are always my favorites (and french teachers, too).

It’s been unusually warm here recently and all the snow is melting, which is disappointing because I love to ski. We’re all looking forward to spring, though, and vacation starts in less than two weeks. Over break I’ll be going with several of my schoolmates to Mississippi, a state in the southern U.S., to help build houses for charity.

This is fascinating, Anas. I am so interested to learn about your studies. Are you going to specialize in certain sports? And what is Casablanca like? I would love to hear your impressions of the city. And how many students are there in your program? I guess I have lots of questions for you!

I was so happy to see that you too had visited the blog and that the experiences from last year are still important to you. These “trans-Atlantic ties” are precious.

Anyway, I am wondering if you could explain exactly what you are studying now and what type of school you are in. You are probably very busy with studies, but if you do have the time, I think it would be very interesting

Anas,
Wow…vos examens sont tellement rigoureux ; nous n’avons pas d’examens nationaux si longs. Bien sûr on a des examens ici pour les sciences, les langues, les maths aussi mais on peut choisir ceux qu’on préfère ; il ne faut pas les passer dans toutes les matières. Que veut dire « la philo ? » C’est la philosophie ? Dans quels formats sont les examens—faut-il écrire des dissertations, où est-ce qu’on choisit entre quelques réponses possibles ? J’imagine qu’il y a beaucoup de stress avant vos examens ; y a-t-il des étudiants qui nuisent à leurs santés en travaillant trop pendant ces semaines ? Ici certains étudiants ne dorment pas parfois parce que des grands projets sont dus, on appelle ces nuits très dures « all-nighters »

Yeah, I think friendship plays a huge part in everybody’s lives. Without friends life would be so much harder. I also think that friendship is a thing that is in all human society in the world. This is a great topic, Anas
